Vimeo · Review & Share
New teams grew 51% in their first month.
I redesigned Share after finding that people copied links instead of inviting their teammates.

Self-reported team result
Self-reported. Paid and free seats are mixed, so there’s no revenue claim here.
The problem
People shared videos by copying a link, so their teammates never joined the workspace.
What I owned
I redesigned the Share flow over several rounds with design, for a clear entry point and simple role assignment. Then I added @mentions with free viewer seats and deep-linked notifications, A/B tested with design and marketing after power-user interviews.
How it went
Fix the invite path
I redesigned Share around inviting teammates, since people were copying links instead.
Make mentions pull people in
@mentions came with free viewer seats and deep-linked notifications, so the person you mentioned could actually join the conversation.
Test it, don’t guess
I talked to power users first, then A/B tested with design and marketing.
How I know it works
- First-month team size: 1.22 to 1.84 seats for new teams after the redesign, up 51%.
- Average team size: 1.77 to 2.04 seats per team, a separate measure.
- Seat caveat: seats are a mix of paid and free, so I make no revenue claim.
